Antique 14K Rose Gold Emerald & Diamond Ring C1920

A beautiful antique estate ring, crafted of 14K rose gold and set with a natural, mined, oval shaped emerald measuring 11mm X 9mm, about 3.5 carats in weight. This beautiful stone is open set and has a rich, kelly green color with good translucence, grading SI in clarity; however, the stone does show several age fractures throughout and light feathery inclusions. Set into the hand tooled mounting are 26 round cut diamonds measuring 1.5mm in diameter each, about .54 carats in total weight. These high quality diamonds grade VS-2 in clarity and F-G in color. The setting and stones are in good condition and the mounting is well designed with intricately hand tooled geometric designs. This elegant, hand finished shank tapers from 8.5mm near the mounting to 2mm toward the back and the face of the ring measures 19.5mm X 11mm and rises 10.5mm above the finger. This heavy gold ring weighs 7. grams, is a size 4.50, and can be resized either way by a competent jeweler. This estate piece dates from circa 1920 and appears to have never been worn.
